Conception and Development
From the concept of the watch to the actual development of the product, our in-house designers take care of every small details
Did you know that Hong Kong watches once accounted for 70% of the world’s watch supply?
At EONIQ, located in Hong Kong, we immerse ourselves in this rich heritage of watch-making know-how.
Thus we constantly ask ourselves this question: how do we leverage this deep depository of experience and our creativity to maximize the value and quality of your timepiece?
The answer: our Micro-Artist Studio.
From the concept of the watch to the actual development of the product, our in-house designers take care of every small details
Assembled individually in-house by our watchmakers. One watch, one watchmaker
Each watch goes through in-house inspection and regulation to meet our rigorous standards
Our in-house studio brings together skilled watchmakers who combine traditional craftsmanship with innovative engineering. Each detail is thoughtfully created to give every timepiece a distinctive mark of EONIQ craftsmanship.
In the following section, discover our Malbec Series and Made in Hong Kong Movement Series. You can also explore selected prototypes in person and try them on at our showroom.
Every dial in the Malbec Series and Made in Hong Kong Series is meticulously crafted by our micro-artists, with precision and fine detail at the heart of every design. By combining traditional pad-printing techniques with advanced laser-engraving technology, we achieve exceptional clarity and intricate finishing in every dial.
Flame bluing is a time-honoured technique used to give watch hands and screws their distinctive, richly coloured blue finish—an effect that modern methods cannot truly replicate. Our micro-artists perform this process by hand, using an open flame and treating each component individually to achieve the ideal shade.
For the Malbec Series, you may also upgrade to purple hands for a more distinctive finish.
Every EONIQ timepiece is carefully regulated by our experienced watchmakers before it reaches you. In December 2022, EONIQ introduced Calibre 852—our first skeleton mechanical movement certified with Hong Kong origin.
Calibre 852 goes beyond the basic requirements of an origin certification. It was developed with the ambition of creating a mechanical movement that is truly Hong Kong-made, reflecting the spirit, craftsmanship, and identity of the city.
The Hong Kong-made elements of Calibre 852 include:
EONIQ SIGNATURE in-house design of the skeleton baseplate
Movement components customized to EONIQ SIGNATURE’s specifications
Hong-Kong-based precision CNC production of the baseplate
Hong-Kong-made hairspring
Hong Kong component QC
EONIQ SIGNATURE in-house assembly of the movement
